The Boston VA Research Institute, Inc. (BVARI) is proud to support educational events and programs at the VA Boston Healthcare System that improve the lives of our nation’s veterans. We coordinate seminars, lectures, trainings, conferences, and on-going educational development programs for both the immediate benefit of veterans and for improving the care they receive through educating their direct care providers and the VA research staff developing new treatments on their behalf.

 

BVARI functions as the intermediary between the VA and non-VA education sponsors and administers the donated funds to ensure that all VA regulations, which may be unknown to the sponsors, are adhered to. BVARI will assist investigators in negotiating the contracts with sponsors and third party vendors (i.e. facility or equipment rentals, catering services, etc.). All contracting for education projects and events at the Boston VA Healthcare System with non-VA sponsors and third party vendors must be with BVARI, however, and not the investigator.

 

If you would like to submit a proposal for a sponsored education event or project, please collect the appropriate forms for either an event (a one time educational event, such as a lecture) or a project (an ongoing program for educational development) from this page and return them to BVARI to the attention of Ross Farley. All proposals must be approved by BVARI’s Executive Committee, which is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors consisting of the Chief of Staff, the Associate Chief of Staff for Research, the Associate Chief of Staff for Education, the Officers of the Board, and the Chief Executive Officer of BVARI. The Executive Committee meets on the third Wednesday of every month.
