The Human Resources Department is responsible for staff procedures such as hiring, training, and payroll. We are here to provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and equitable administration of policies and procedures, thus fostering a positive work environment. The Human Resources Department exists to provide competent, courteous, and professional assistance to all BVARI staff; to administer their benefits and changes in their employment status; to assist supervisors with employment changes and hiring within their programs; to maintain accurate and confidential records; and to help ensure compliance with policies and employment and benefit laws. On this page, you can find all the documents you will need to begin the hiring process.
In order to become a BVARI employee you must receive a Without Compensation (WOC) Appointment through the VA Boston Healthcare System. All BVARI employees, regardless of VA employment status, are required to have a WOC appointment prior to employment. If you click on the link above, you will find the information required to receive a WOC appointment and all required documents.
Payroll should be submitted every other Monday by close of business in order to ensure supervisor approval. The ADP EZLabor Time and Labor management system can be accessed from home or work. If you are scheduled to be away from the office during a scheduled timecard submission date, please make sure you submit your timecard or contact the Human Resources office by COB.

We have an open door policy and are here to serve you, if you have an questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us (617) 738-1313, and we can help guide you.
