I have been notified by Research Services that there are additional trainings that all BVARI WOC employees have to complete before the close of the VA fiscal year.　 The completed copies need to be submitted to BVARI on September 21, 2009.　 Please make sure that all of these trainings are completed, and returned in time.　 The following is the list of trainings:

• VA Privacy Awareness
• VA Information Security Awareness and rules of Behavior (Completed once per your employment)
• No Fear Act /Whistleblowing
• Prevention of Sexual Harassment

• Good Clinical Practice & Human Subjects Protection

• Attend the new employee orientation by VA HR and, or
• Obtain a copy of the Medical Center Employee Orientation Manual, attached, from Ivette Arias.　 In the table of contents the required mandatory course have been underlined.　 After reading the, sign the last page of the manual and submit for full credit of the completed courses listed below:

• Compliance and Business Integrity (CBI) Awareness
• Environment of Care (EOC) Update
• Patient Safety
• Customer/Service/Team Building
• Infection Control
• Responding to Clinical Emergencies
• Green Environment Management Systems (GEMS) Training

• Working with the VA IACUC
• Species Specific Trainings (eg. Mice, rats, rabbits, etc.)
• VA ORD Bio-Security Training – This is a one-time only training
• Lab Safety Training
